Amelia Island, Florida, has been ranked No. 4 in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2024 Reader’s Choice Awards for the “Top Islands in the U.S.” It is the only Florida destination to make the list.

The top-ranked island this year is Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, followed by Maui and Oahu in Hawaii.

More than 575,000 readers voted for their favorite travel spots, making this one of the most respected awards in the industry.

Gil Langley, president of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau, shared his excitement about the recognition.

“We are honored to be named one of the best islands in the U.S. again,” Langley said. “This award reflects the hard work of everyone who helps make Amelia Island a wonderful place to visit. We thank everyone who voted and welcome new and returning guests to experience what makes our island special.”

Amelia Island’s resorts also earned high rankings. The Omni Amelia Island Resort placed No. 4 among the “Best Resorts in Florida,” while The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, ranked No. 14 in the same category.

Located in Northeast Florida, Amelia Island is known for its beautiful beaches, top-rated golf courses, and the historic town of Fernandina Beach.

The full list of 2024 Readers’ Choice Award winners is available on the Condé Nast Traveler website and will be featured in the magazine’s November issue.
