The wildest competition in the Sunshine State is back! The Florida Man Games are looking for fearless contestants to show off their skills in beer chugging, wrestling, and even handling Florida’s famous reptiles.
“If you can down a beer fast, hold your own in a fight, or wrangle a gator without breaking a sweat, this is your time to shine,” said Pete Melfi, founder of the Florida Man Games.
Are You Ready for the Challenge?
Have you been walking around shirtless for years? Can you wrestle an alligator like a pro? Have you ever outrun the cops like Bo and Luke Duke? If so, it’s time to step into the arena.
This year, the games aren’t just for men—women can enter too! “Some of the best Florida Man stories actually come from Florida women,” Melfi said.
Tryouts & Main Event
WWE star Sam Shaw will host open tryouts at his wrestling academy in St. Augustine on November 17 at 11 a.m. Registration is already open.
The official Florida Man Games will take place at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds in Elkton on March 1. Organizers are serious about keeping things local—only permanent Florida residents can compete.
Crazy Challenges Await
Fans can expect wild competitions like:
- Beer Belly Sumo – A wrestling match where contestants must balance a cup of beer while fighting.
- Gator Throw – A test of skill and strength where participants toss a stuffed alligator through a drive-thru window.
All for a Good Cause
The event isn’t just about laughs—it also raises money for Jimmy Jam Community Outreach, a group that helps people in need.
“Florida is known for its crazy stories,” Melfi said. “If you think you belong in one, now’s your chance to prove it.”
