The St. Augustine community came together on Veterans Day to honor local service members in a heartfelt event hosted by the Veterans Council of St. Johns County and the Military Officers Association of America, Ancient City Chapter.




Held at Anastasia Baptist Church, the ceremony featured:
- The Traveling Vietnam and War on Terror Walls
- Over 40 display tables with military artifacts and stories
- A keynote speech from Sheriff Robert A. Hardwick, a veteran of Operation Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom
The event also included performances:
- Vann Morris delivered a powerful rendition of Old Glory
- The St. Augustine High School Chorale sang patriotic songs
- Local youth groups, including Junior ROTC and Sea Cadets, participated
The Veterans Council of St. Johns County thanked the community for its support, encouraging residents to continue honoring those who serve.
