Publix to Open 20th Store in St. Johns County After Board Approval

A new Publix is coming to St. Augustine.

A new Publix is coming to St. Augustine, marking the grocery chain’s 20th location in St. Johns County.

According to a report from the Jacksonville Daily Record, the county has approved plans for a 48,387-square-foot Publix store at Elevation Pointe, a mixed-use development on Florida 16. The location will be across from the St. Augustine Premium Outlets.

Elevation Pointe will feature retail stores, townhomes, and apartments. As with many Publix locations, this new store will also include an attached liquor store.

Other businesses coming to Elevation Pointe include a Chase Bank, a Circle K gas station, and a Dutch Bros Coffee shop.

Publix, known for its friendly customer service and popular “Pub Sub” sandwiches, has nearly 874 stores across Florida. The chain is especially common in Nocatee, where two Publix stores sit across from each other on Crosswater Parkway, with another location approved just 2.2 miles away.
