A well-known Jacksonville-based restaurant is opening a new location in Ponte Vedra Beach, adding to the growing number of dining spots in the area.
The Local, which already has restaurants in Miramar and Neptune Beach, will be moving into a commercial strip at 226 Solana Road, according to the Jacksonville Daily Record. The new restaurant will take over the space that used to be Woody’s BBQ, which shut down in 2023.
The Local is owned by Ted Stein and J.C. Demetree of Roose Restaurants, the Daily Record reported.
The restaurant’s website says, “Every restaurant we build, we do so with the neighborhood in mind. Each location is unique but shares common themes. As we grow, we look forward to bringing new ideas to the community—drawing inspiration from big cities while keeping things local.”
The Local serves brunch, lunch, and dinner with popular dishes like ginger wasabi-crusted salmon, short rib pappardelle, and a variety of unique tacos.
