Jacksonville International Airport (JAX) just soared to second place in J.D. Power’s latest North American Airport Satisfaction survey for medium-sized airports.

That’s a big leap from last year, when JAX ranked sixth.

Who Took the Top Spots?

For medium-sized airports:

  1. Indianapolis International Airport – #1
  2. Jacksonville International Airport – #2
  3. Southwest Florida International Airport – #3

JAX also outranked Palm Beach International Airport, which landed at #7.

For large airports, John Wayne Airport in Orange County took the top spot, while Tampa International and Kansas City International followed.

For mega airports, the top-ranked were:

  1. Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport
  2. Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport
  3. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport

JAX may not have the global connections of bigger hubs, but travelers love its calm atmosphere and easy navigation.
