Guns N’ Roses legend Slash is mourning the loss of his stepdaughter, Lucy-Bleu Knight, who passed away on July 19, 2024. Lucy-Bleu was the daughter of Slash’s longtime partner Meegan Hodges and her ex, Mark Knight. The couple dated in 1989 and got back together in 2015. Slash announced that he must cancel four shows on his “S.E.R.P.E.N.T” tour due to “unforeseen circumstances.” He apologized for any inconvenience this has caused and announced that the tour will resume on July 28 in Toronto.
Three hours after Slash posted his statement to Instagram, a seemingly scheduled photo of Lucy-Bleu Knight was published with a chilling message. The photo captioned the message, “Countless missed opportunities and connections due to a disgustingly big ego, insecure heart, and fear of being vulnerable. May my soul learn to evolve from my poor job at being Lucy-Bleu. Peace.” The message is accompanied by a selfie of Knight wearing large rounded glasses and a short bleached bob, not looking at the camera.
Fellow social media users wondered how the post could be made following the news of Knight’s death, but several people wondered if it “was a scheduled post,” meaning Knight could have written the caption and set the post to be uploaded at a later time. Some users called for respect for her and her family, while others claimed that it matters because it explains many things and ultimately, they are her last words.
Lucy-Bleu Knight’s second most recent post – a “painting I made” of a person wearing green cowboy boots – was posted on January 4.
