BJ’s Wholesale Club is getting ready to open its new location in Beachwalk, and early shoppers can score discounted memberships before the grand opening this winter.

The membership center is now open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. New members can sign up for a basic annual membership for $25 or choose the higher-tier Club+ membership for $70.

The new 104,000-square-foot store will offer fresh produce, a bakery, groceries, home goods, and electronics. This will be Florida’s 41st BJ’s location, adding to the company’s 244 stores nationwide.

Another BJ’s store is set to open in Palm Coast next week.

BJ’s Wholesale Club was founded in Massachusetts in 1984, named after Beverly Jean Welch, the daughter of the company’s first president. The first physical store opened in Springfield in 1981, and the brand has been growing ever since.
