One of the South’s top auto dealers has sold his oceanfront mansion in Ponte Vedra Beach for $13 million, according to property records.

Randy Marion, who owns multiple car dealerships, bought the home at 723 Ponte Vedra Blvd. for $5.7 million in 2018, county records show.

The 5,000-square-foot house, built in 2014, has six bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms. It was originally listed for $15.2 million in April 2023 before selling on December 6.

Real estate agent Kimberly Bright of Compass Florida described the home as having a “Hamptons” style with stunning ocean views and high-end finishes.

Marion, who is based in Mooresville, North Carolina, is one of the region’s most successful car dealers. In 2022, the North Carolina Auto Dealers Association honored him with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

Although he never attended college, Gardner-Webb University awarded him an honorary doctorate. He is also a major donor to the school.

In 2023, Marion bought the Claude Nolan Cadillac dealership in Jacksonville. He has been visiting the First Coast for many years.

Originally from West Virginia, Marion started with a single dealership in Mooresville and expanded his business across North Carolina.
