Construction has started on a new commercial development in Nocatee, which will include a 100,000-square-foot storage facility.

Crews have already cleared land on Crosswater Parkway, right across from Splash Waterpark, to make room for the project.

According to documents filed with St. Johns County, The Parc Group plans to lease space in an 11,000-square-foot commercial building, with the storage facility being built directly behind it.

The site is located between the Starling Assisted Living facility and a St. Johns County firehouse.

The storage building will stand 60 feet tall, while the commercial building will be 30 feet high. The project will also include 64 parking spaces.

This week, a sign was put up to advertise retail spaces available for lease in the commercial building.
